Half-British, half-Russian violinist with worldwide playing experience

Half-British, half-Russian violinist Marsha Ford made her first solo recital debut in 2011 in Krakow, Poland. She was invited by the Polish Jagiellonian University and played under the patronage of the British Council. She has since performed in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and London and currently has open invitations to perform in Boston, USA and St Petersburg, Russia. Marsha is currently a postgraduate student studying violin performance at the Royal College of Music with Professor Radu Blidar. At the age of just 12, Marsha was awarded The Castiel Winser Trophy and bursary presented to the most promising stringed instrumentalist under 18 at the Gibraltar Festival for Young Musicians.

As well as her significant performance experience, Marsha also has an interest in teaching and spent her gap year shadowing her former teacher Natasha Boyarsky at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Cobham. Along with her violin successes, Marsha also studied piano and has had several pupils go on to receive music scholarships at their new senior schools.
